Aber falls is one of my favourite hikes so far, And the waterfall is the best waterfall I have seen. It is the most beautiful hike I have ever done. Within minutes from the parking you are looking at the waterfall, I got soaked just by standing near it for the photo. We followed up the hill on the left hand side of the waterfall up the slate to the top of the waterfall, it is amazing how far the water goes, and there are so many mini waterfalls to follow at the top. Plenty of small pools for a lovely dip too.
The rest of the hike is also amazing plenty of hills and some Welsh 3000's to collect too here. A lovely little scramble as you can see above with many false summits which is included in that photo. This was definitely not the top, but was so worth it. The weather started changing as we got to the top and we hit some very strong winds that nearly knocked us over. The rain hit us a couple of times and it got dark quickly. We did manage a lovely sunset though. Some great views at the top of the waterfall too, you could see out to sea, it was just beautiful.
Some of the hills we did are difficult, but some were also very easy so it balances itself out.
In the summer this would make the perfect place for a hike, summer sun, a picnic, a dip in the water and a couple of Welsh 3000's. What a perfect day!
This is 100% a place I will be going back to and would recommend anyone has a visit here if you have never been!
