Revidge, Ecton hill, Wetton hill, Wolfscote hill

Decided to go and take on another 4 Ethels to knock off my list. A random hike I set up myself including Revidge, Ecton hill, Wetton hill and Wolfscote hill.

If you decide to take these on, I would recommend doing Wolfscote first as the opposite way round there is a lot more steepness about the hike. A lot of Wolfscote is private land as we found out, There does seem to be a public footpath sign though, so take a look out for that before heading up.

This hike did not just include 4 Ethels, while out hiking we spotted my future home (Wishful thinking) this beautiful castle looking home, with its own sign saying nothing of importance happened here....made me laugh. It is the most stunning home I have ever come across in my life. You need to make the trip just to take a look at the building!

There was lots to see on this hike, including the rock you can see me sat on below, A copper mine building, which you are able to look around the outside of, some lovely caves to explore until we found spiders and I ran for it. It also included a river and abandoned mineshafts.

It was a 15 mile hike that was definitely worth a visit. Every moment you come across something else you were not expecting to see. Amazing views and beautiful things to look at. This is not a hike for the light hearted though. If you are going to attempt it, you need to be able to hike a decent distance up and down hill.

The copper mine is very interesting to read about and to see how much of it still stands today. It was something I didn't know existed until we came across it. To find out it goes down by 400 Metres which is bigger than the Empire State Building was amazing, you can actually stand over the hole. The building is the oldest steam powered mine winding engine house in the world as it was built in 1788.
